Ida Bodin- is a musician of diverse talents and interests. Classically trained as a double bassist, she has performed with groups and artists from around the world from the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, to Placido Domingo and Phillip Glass. She has performed locally with orchestras from Long Beach to Santa Barbara. As a jazz player, her credits include performances with such greats as Billy Higgins, Eddie Daniels and Ernie Andres to name a few. She can be heard on the recordings of artists such as Lou Harrison, Stevie Wonder and Raphael Saadiq. Ida has also been heard in the ensemble of musicals such as “Rent”. “Aint’ Misbehavin”. and “Play On!” In addition to performing, Ida has written and arranged music for groups large and small, and has recently completed the score to the feature film, “Two Degrees.”
