Carol Chaikin - IW Music Director 2003 was born and raised in Los Angeles. After receiving her BA in music at the Berkley School of Music, she moved to New York where she found her niche playing in clubs, recording, and writing music for TV. She has toured extensively throughout the United States, as well as in Europe, Japan and Brazil. Her debut CD entitled “Carol Chaikin” was released on Gold Castle Records. Carol has recorded as a sideperson with Astrud Gilberto, Sweet Baby J’ai, Diva, Unpredictable Nature, Mary Watkins, Maiden Voyage, Maria Anadon, Erin Wright, Mark Lambert, John Margolis, Vana Gierig, Nate Tiffe, and Art Lillard. Her latest CD as a leader on Ms Ecstasy Records is entitled “Lucy’s Day Off” and was released in 1999. Now back in Los Angeles, Carol is working on another CD and can be found performing along with Jerrie Thill &  friends at El Cid's - Silver Lake at the Sunday brunch, and with the York Quartet.
