Kari Harris moved to LA after completing her bachelor's degree at Berkley College of Music in Boston where she completed her studies with a Masters in Jazz Performance at the University of Southern California. In 1999, Kari was named one of the International Association of Jazz Educator's “Sisters in jazz”, a group that travels around the country performing and delivering clinics to raise awareness for women in jazz. Kari now performs with various LA based bands, including Ann Patterson’s Maiden Voyage.
