Karen Hernandez began playing piano in her church and for tap dancing classes at the age of nine. By the age of 15, she was already making the jazz club circuit. Virtually any jazz artist with longevity on the L.A jazz scene has likely been on stage with Karen at some point. In addition to her own CD featuring Frank Wilson on drums. Larry Gales on bass, Ricky Woodard on sax, and John Bolivar on sax and flute, she has also recorded with a number of artists.
